The municipality of The Hague is organising an international care innovation event on October 7, at the New World Campus. The Hague wants to show with this event that the city is an early adopter when it comes to care innovations.

Alderman Karsten Klein (Care) will highlight which care innovations have been implemented already bij healthcare organisations in and around the Hague, are being or have been developed by institutes and Enterprises located in the political capital of the Netherlands.

Furthermore there will be demonstrations of The Hague based ICT solutions. Bert Mulder, lector Information, Technology and Society at the Hague University (Haagse Hogeschool) will share his latest insights on the subject. Click here for more information on the event.

The event is also the conclusion of the five day hackathon ‘Care for elderly’, taking place from October 2nd until October 7th. The goal is to let senior citizens stay at home as long as is possible by giving them access to the care the need to accomplish this. October 7th the finalists pitch their solutions to a professional jury.

Last June the Dutch City of Amsterdam hosted the International eHealth Week 2016, with thousands of health professionals attending the three day conference. This years’ motto was the patient: ‘You, at the heart of the transition’.
